My name is Ahmad Smade, and I believe in the infinity of the human potential. I was born in Damascus, Syria, on July 4th, 1986. I'm a fire-fighter and a cancer according to the zodiac and astrology, respectively. I took piano when I was 8 and guitar when I was 15.

I sang in a show-choir (musical dance production) from 10-17, and the groups I had the supreme fortune, privilege, and honor with which to perform won championships consistently from the local through the national levels, competing against the best in the business. We were from Burbank, CA, after all - the studio capital of the world. The only group that came close to giving us a run for our money was from our rival school in the same city.

I played lead guitar in a rock band in my college days, when I had long, bleach-blonde hair and lived on the beach in Santa Barbara, CA. I've been a singer-songwriter ever since and have written a few tracks that everyone seems to like, while the rest of my music has a diverse spectrum of preferred listeners. It's always interesting to see how different people resonate with different pieces, and I look forward to professional publication and live tours.

My background is in physics and philosophy, but I'm pursuing a doctorate in economics with a career goal of balancing the congressional budget and eliminating the national debt to feed the babies, shoe the children, house the people, and power the world with renewable energy.
